Enjoy a guided tour and find out about how a Victorian miller would have lived and how the windmill works.  Built in 1821 and set high in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wilton Windmill is the only working windmill in the Wessex region. Picnic area and site accessible all year round. Guided tours, refreshments and stone ground flour available during opening times.  Fabulous walking and great views – a very special place.

Mainline train station at Great Bedwyn approximately 2.5 miles away.  Bus route 22 from Bedwyn to The Swan in Wilton.

Bus route 22 runs between Marlborough and Hungerford, going via Wilton.

Easter Weekend open Saturday, Sunday and Monday but thereafter open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of September.
Other days, site is open but no guided tours or refreshments available. During the Winter, The site is still open, but again no guided tours or refreshments.
