Marlborough’s much-loved Summer School will return in summer 2022 with more than 500 courses and a wealth of entertainment suitable for all ages and interests.
For 4 weeks over the summer, Marlborough College Summer School has grown beyond compare into one of the largest multi-generational learning experiences of its kind.
The popularity of Summer School is undoubtedly underpinned by the phrase “something for everyone”. Catering for students from 3 years old through to 90 years young, it is this blend spanning the generations and accommodating all combinations of family groups and individuals that creates a unique holiday atmosphere in the beautiful setting of Marlborough College.
The eclectic programme of adult courses is refreshed and developed annually, and 2021 will be no exception, with traditional favourites running alongside a wide range of inspiring new subjects..
While there are over 400 fascinating courses for adults, the comprehensive programme for young people is a winning formula packed full of inspirational activities. Junior Troopers (3-6 years) and Children’s Activities (6-9 years) adopt the multi-activity approach and feature art and crafts, music, sports and outdoor adventures. Meanwhile older children and teenagers can choose a morning and afternoon course which they continue all week.
For students wishing to really make the most of their time at Summer School, booking a stay in one of the College Boarding Houses is thoroughly recommended. The College’s historic grounds are conveniently located to enjoy Marlborough’s famous High Street and the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Plus, as a resident you can take advantage of the excellent cuisine on offer and free admission to all lectures, recitals and entertainments.
